The design is named after the musical piece "Cuba Chase" composed by Hans Zimmer for the official sound track of "James Bond, No Time to Die". This song has unexpected and abrupt changes in its flow. The nature of this song draws parallel with a wild untamed fire. This was represented by the Music Scape model, where two paper planes fold, intersect and cut through each other at angles odd and unprecedented. This created an interesting play of slopes and levels that would come to form the root design intent behind the Program. To convey this idea, designs were worked majorly through sections, creating interconnected spaces. The module was based in NID Ahmedabad campus and required an amalgum of three spaces; an Exhibition Gallery, a Cafe and Nidus, the shop. The quality of openness of spaces, and using volumes to bring spaces together was prioritised. Each space has a completely different volume based on its purpose. The Kinetic Element adds onto this experience as it creates a unique passage between the interior spaces and the open amphitheater that is the cafe. Located at the front entrance of the building it serves the purpose of a kinetic pergola regulating the harsh Southern Sun.
