Post independence, in late 1947, 6 people forms a group in then Bombay, with a core idea to bring modern form of art to India. These people called themselves ‘The Progressive Artists Group’. The group believed in the disagreement with the present accurate style of painting practiced by the Bengal School and the Bombay Art Society.The Musorial manifests the understandings of the method and believes of these artists in a built form situated in a context of Mumbai. Musorial is hence conceptualized as a space for the public to to experience these believes and contemplate the context the sit in.
