 Astronomical Observatory is designed in science centre for University Astronomical research group, which provide them with space to place PV 1000 telescope, make observations and conduct their research. The design was developed out of desire to create a space that connect to larger realm of universe by limiting itself from its immediate periphery. This was tried to achieve by creating a tower for telescope and a double volume space with illuminated environment. The telescope is placed in an openable rotating dome, which is mounted over a flitch columned tower, built over existing load bearing walls. The tower creates a large volume space below the telescope, where astronomers record and study observation. The tower is covered with translucent fabric, which creates an illuminated environment.
