The project is located in the ATIRA housing complex, located in the isolation and calmness of Ahmedabad city. The water tower aims to escape from the dense vegetation of the site and opens one, to the increasing RCC floor plates as one reaches the top. The main structure of the tower is made of RCC along with 4 residential units which are like brick bubbles standing high in the air.
The project breaks away the monotony of closed circulation spaces in a tower by having a staggering metal staircase that provides maximum views of the outside and a light, uplifting experience throughout the journey. The staircase is like a ribbon that binds the operational, functional, and aesthetics of a water tower. A single RCC wall runs throughout the building which pulls and binds all other elements and different materials of the building. Hence, the architectural elements along with their materials add various sensorial experiences throughout the journey to reach the top of the water tank where one can sit into an open sit-out space and overlook the textile museum complex.
