In praise of shadows

This project is a deep exploration into the transformative capabilities of light, investigating how its interplay with materials and textures can establish a consistent and unified mood within an interior space, irrespective of external surroundings. Rooted in the hypothesis that light serves as a powerful unifying force, the study unfolds within the context of an exhibit featuring Leonardo DaVinci's dream machines. Beyond merely examining this hypothesis, the project seeks to unravel the intricate roles undertaken by an interior designer in strategically optimizing atmospheres tailored specifically for the showcased objects. It evolves into a nuanced inquiry into the influential role of light in shaping the internal atmosphere of a space and, in parallel, delves into the complex tectonics that underlie the meticulous crafting of these captivating environments. Through this comprehensive exploration, the project endeavors to illuminate not only the dynamics of light and materials but also the nuanced orchestration of tectonic elements that contribute to the overall spatial experience.
