The program was to design an Air Pollution Monitoring Centre in three contrasting landscapes, namely, rocky hillside, wetland, and an undulating forest. The initial concept for the design of the building is derived from a response to the landscape, and the design development is carried out keeping the landscape in mind. The primary focus of the design was on how the building touched the ground and interacted with the surroundings.
