The house for the musician was built in three stages over a period of 50 years with the addition of the sister's house in Stage II and the music institute in Stage III. The idea of the house was to create pockets of spaces within the house where the user could instantly connect or disconnect themselves from the vast landscape.The basic concept of spaces as rectangles separated by semi-open layers had been followed in the first two stages. On the contrary, the music institute clearly demarcates itself from the residence in terms of its scale, organisation and materials.
