A Larger Family: A Home outside Home

The highrise Project is set in the GIFT city between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The project identifies concerns of lack of neighbourhood and diverse lifestyles in main stream housing projects. People often forget their deep interests as they grow up, and, there is no reminder to that and the life passes by. Can housing be seen as a organism where it learns, celebrates and gets old with dignity? The program tries to Integrate informal institutions with housing to create a neighbourhood enriching the whole lifestyle of the residents.
