Bridges over Temporality

As links to our history vanish, our actions in the present must acknowledge the needs of the future. This stretch of Sabarmati river along Raysan village reflects a rapidly urbanizing settlement, a deteriorating edge - a river in flux.

This project aims to establish a collaborative coexistence between the present rural edge, the future urban edge and the ephemeral yet sustaining river, through season-specific, community-driven and water-conscious interventions.  The end result is a seasonally adaptive river edge which serves ecologically as well as socially, in a rapidly urbanizing rural context.
