Crescendo is a center for teens who are music enthusiasts but do not have access to musical instruments and the opportunity to engage with music at home. Here, teens can experience the flowing quality of music through spaces that flow into each other without rigid boundaries. The attempt has also been to dissolve the framework of the existing structure and bring in levels and contours that flow between the inside and outside. With reading for leisure being the second activity, the design tries to explore the contrast between silence and sound. The highlight is an abstract tree in the centre with the bookshelf being the trunk and light fittings being the branches.
