An Endless knot of Experience
The symbol of the eternal knot is one of the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism. After seeing it in the local calendar of people living around the site and at many other places like monasteries, handmade bags, railings, etc., it became a memory of Sikkim for me. The knot follows a strict geometry to form the endless loop. Continuity, connection, and remembering where the words of inspiration came from the symbol. The eternal knot symbol was distorted and stretched according to the site. The individual six buildings were identified and deformed according to the area required and the contours. There are nine junctions that determine the levels of the bridges and the staircases.
