Buildings with glass facade systems are prone to high thermal heat gain and very less time lag. As opposed to the traditional brick and mortar buildings which have higher thermal mass and higher time lag.
The project aims at creating a heat storage system for glass facade building to increase the thermal mass of the building envelope. Reducing the heat ingress into the building and thus
reducing the electricity consumption.
To achieve this Phase Change Materials are used to store the heat in the daytime and releasing that heat at the nighttime.
