Intelligent Cover Cap for Glass Facades

This project proposes the integration of intelligent cover caps into aluminum profile systems of glass facades. These cover caps, equipped with light-dependent resistors (LDRs), act as real-time sensors, continuously monitoring the incident radiation on the glass surface.

The acquired data is then communicated to a central control system, enabling dynamic adjustments of sun shading devices or electrochromic glass. This real-time data-driven approach optimizes occupant comfort and energy efficiency by adapting to changing environmental conditions.
By integrating intelligent cover caps into glass facades, this project aims to create buildings that are more comfortable, energy-efficient, and sustainable.
