 Saha, is a Sanskrit adjective which means "overcoming, with-standing time, capable but most importantly powerful". The world’s tallest Statue is a matter of self pride, it is a celebration of not only India’s architectural power but the capability of the people who build the country. The river Narmada became a source of energy generation and economic development when Sardar Sarovar Dam was constructed over it. Taking inspiration from the site, the Visitor information centre reflects on the Idea of Generation. Different elements come together to generate a cohesive bigger whole. The spaces flow into one another and aren’t explicitly divided. The dynamic curvy form is the common line connecting all the spaces. The keywords Development, Generation and energy are highlighted by the use of robust and industrial materials like concrete, glass and MS. The colours are neutral and muted. The keywords like unity, community and symbol are highlighted using soft, warm and intricate materials like wood, brick, perforated ms sheet. The textures and colours are bright, flamboyant and well-lit spaces.
