The intent of this studio was to explore the limits of wood as a material and to understand it by working with wood hands on. The final project was to design a 3 person seating element in a semi-open context. Araña utilized twisting and tapering as operations to arrive at the final form. The arrangement of the legs in the support structure gives an illusion of a twist when seen from the front.
