The project involves a adaptive reuse of an old school building to a backpackers hostel. The idea behind the design is to show the culture of ahmedabad and give an experience of living in the pol houses to the guest in the hostel. That is achieved by creating otlas, courtyards, patroli (entrance gate). A similar language of the pol houses has been followed in the interior spaces; i.e Rooms, Dorms, Restaurant, Reception and gathering spaces like the common dinning space and lounge and game rooms.
