The approach started with studying our idea of luxury and applying it. By using the existing structural grid of Vijay Villas Palace we were asked to design the internal spaces by increasing or decreasing the structural grid . The design is evolved through reasoning as well as creative manipulation of space in our contextual understanding. The literature and the live case studies of palaces were of great help understanding better the other extreme of living.
