Worked on Baggage scanning process at terminal 2 (International) of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The area of study was: after the passengers enters the terminal gate up till his baggage been scanned and tagged. Issues were identified using the tools such as process profile worksheet, Swimlane diagram, spaghetti diagram, SIPOC. identified issues related to queue management, display screen not showing flight information; there was no such display showing the information related to goods prohibited in checked baggage, which leads to manual check of baggage,as passenger is unaware about the items like power banks are not allowed in checked baggage.
