The site, New Cloth Market is located in Ahmedabad. It is a wholesale textile market which was opened up in 1959. Total site area of New Cloth Market is 44,000 sqm. It is located southwest of the old walled city of Ahmedabad and has a total of 1,400 shops, out of which 1105 shops are textile oriented with the remaining serving other businesses. The vision of this project is to increase the ambit of the New Cloth Market by engaging stakeholders towards stewardship of infrastructure and facilities. The assets were analysed and integrated through careful consideration by diminishing risk in terms of safety, security, health, or quality of services provided. The methodology adopted aims to focus on increasing the efficiency of the market in the aspect of Facilities Management.
