Jamalpur experiences a major hurdle of grossly insufficient parking spaces. The management plan proposed encompasses a On-Street Parking Plan with a Pricing System, Zonal Distinction of ward, involvement of Parking Wardens and a revenue generation model using user charges for parking. The aim of the proposed management plan is to encourage the use of public transport while advocating the importance of sustainable modes of travelling. The proposed plan also aims to generate revenue for the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
