Street Vending was selected, keeping in mind the existing situation of street vendors in Jamalpur ward. Some of the Vendors were associated by SEWA Association. But there was no Governing or managing body in this place. There are approximately 1850 Fruit and Vegetable vendors in this area and 150 Flower vendors. The Street vending activity in Jamalpur Ward near the APMC market and the Flower market area is in a current need of managerial solution from the ward level. The major issues are the enchroachment of street vendors and pedestrians in this area, traffic congestion of autos, cars, laari, trucks. Currently the street vendors have a space to sit and vend underneath the Jamalpur Flyover, AMC has provided Raised Platforms- Otlas for them. But some areas are not in good condition underneath the flyover because of littering of garbage and hence some otlas are not in use by these vendors. The street vendors are inclined towards the APMC market therefore the roads and the Otla towards the Market are used as the main zone for vending hence making the roads very congested. They have some of the facilities in this area but some need to improve and need to be managed by some authority. 
Proposals for Street Vendors in Jamalpur ward are 1. making the Ward level Vending committee with their roles and responsibilities 2. making Street vending committee by nomination and selection from the recogonised people ih the area and other people for work on site . 3. Facility management plan - providing them services and facilities which are mentioned in National Policy like Space allotment, Water Vending Machine, Paving blocks in the pedestrian area and Led Street Lights. 4. bring in Central Union Trade- SEWA Association for Legal Actions 5. Bring in NGO- SAATH for Document making of these informal economic group. 5. PPP - Advertisement in this area. 6. Survey Mechanism 7. User Charge that shall be collected from the vendors annually keeping in mind their daily, monthly and yearly income and expenses.
