Public toilet in urban areas caters to many livelihood groups. So, its daily operation & maintenance also becomes important. By frequently visiting different public toilets, it was clearly observed that cleanliness is a major issue. But in order to get quantifying score showing whether or not cleanliness is a major issue, we conducted a survey of all ten public toilets of Thaltej ward. The results we got survey is used as a base for gap analysis. And the proposals are aimed at enhancing process/ procedure in supervision and human resource management.
