The objective of the studio was to prepare a DP for Rajkot taking cognizance of the existing situation, analysis & growth trends. Hence we started with identifying potentials, our perception & growing trends and at the same time analyzing the current approach, determining our interventions and strategies & preparing all components of the DP Assessment. Rajkot stands as a capital of Saurashtra and a prime economic hub of the state. Our primary visits to Rajkot left an indelible mark on us that prove the potential that this city has, to grow. Rajkot is centrally located within Saurashtra and being the biggest city in the region, its strategic location and linkages to other towns develops the Spoke and Hub concept.The aim has been to develop a city plan such that it would not deter these development potentials.
