Age specific Housing Model in India

Age specific Housing is an emerging segment in India which is witnessing steady increase of elderly population in the society. In urban areas, there is rise of nuclear families and smaller households. As a result, more and more, elderly population are living an independent life. With the increasing life expectancy there is a need to provide age specific housing and associated services to these independent seniors to live a life of their own. It calls for developing projects which can address the need for Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). The present research proposes to find out the demand supply seniors of CCRCs in the context of Mumbai Metropolitan Area sand to propose a viable business model for taking up CCRCs in MMR Region.
