Even though the name of the studio is titled as Environment Impact Assessment (EIA)studio, As an academic exercise we have taken a bit of liberty to go beyond the conventional methods of augmenting the environment. As a group of 9 young environmental planners we have tried to look into this whole process of EIA through the lens of construction projects (Buildings) and the kind of impact that it would create. Our key inquiry has been in moving this whole agenda of project based situation-which happens to be the conventional EIA to an area based assessment and drawing the responsive Environment Management Plans.
As a studio we would try and Illustrate the benefits of doing this whole “Area based Approach” in which as a component I would be focusing on the “Energy Environment” in detail.
