The project aims to establish a water transport hub on the eastern waterfront of Mumbai, which comprises water transport for the inter-city to the mainland and the intra-city connectivity and its interconnections with the other existing public transport systems. It will be an alternative public transport facility for daily commuters. The commencement of water transport will ensure reduced travel time, decongested road traffic, employment opportunities.
