There is a rising recognition that heritage buildings are an important element of Khadia’s social capital and that heritage conservation provides economic, cultural and social benefits to local residents. They are important in terms of transferring the cultural identity for further generations. Where heritage buildings can no longer function with its original use, proposing a new function is certain in order to preserve the importance. The decision whether to reuse a building, demands a complex set of considerations including location, heritage, architectural assets, and market trends. It is to be analyzed that adaptive reuse is a powerful strategy for generating economy. This proposal can be used to choose adaptive reuse strategies for the abandoned heritage buildings.
