The Foundation Studio provided a hands-on experience to the practice of planning using various conceptual and analytical tools, on a ward/area level to develop an understanding of the city. The studio included perception studies, reading and writing exercises, surveys and data collection for Shahpur Ward. Our vision for Shahpur Ward is to ‘Synthesise the urban fabric for an inclusive design’. Shahpur ward has a diverse area character and proposals like CBD and TOD along BRTS and proposed Metro route, serve the area. Various proposals have been given for Shahpur as a team, among which hereby shown is the land-use strategy.
