Nirvana: Utopian urbanism

The project consists of 2 parts, first part being extensive site analysis, while the other being a solution to the hypothetical problem at the site. The aforementioned site is the 'Kocharab Gaam' situated in Paldi, Ahmadabad. The situation of dystopia caused due to the agricultural system disruption in Kocharab gaam, needs an urgent solution.

The first impression of the site, through the eyes of a random native (stakeholder). It is represented through series of sketches and a perspective illusion of the three main parts of the area-the entrance, the narrow lane, and the exit.

The base map of the site extents- Kocharab Gaam, situated in Paldi, Ahmedabad.

Analysis and study of Waste network from the initial point (house, dustbin) to the penultimate point (pirana), after which the waste gets treated differently altogether.

A detailed axonometric view of a slum lane, showing interesting network overlaps and how one system affect others, also outlining their different way of going through some illegal ways to sustain and lead their lives, for more than 40 years now. The different network overlapping are- water, electricity, and bio-diversity.

The space perception of the slum lane natives, outlining the liked spaces and the disliked spaces overall. Yet going into complex or simple details of the reasons of specific responses, with some sketches to complement those reasons. The fonts are used in a way such as, the bigger the font, more common is the reason, and so on.

The midterm project, having seven different louvers outlining the basic site information on the front side while focusing on detailed factors behind every panel. This was the main site analysis of the aforementioned slum lane.

A representation of- The Library of Babel. Coloured layers represent different levels which seem to be indefinite and merge at a point, in complete symmetry.

A comparison of life of a random person before and after the contextualization of the proposed solution.

The Groof- The detailed proposed solution, to the problem of agricultural system disruption. Including the area detailed plans, section, axonometric, exploded-axo diagrams and outlined points.
