This is an attempt to create mass housing for migrant communities of Surat. Certain parameters were set by the studio instructors in terms of module size, no. of families to accommodate and maximum no. of floors that our housing could have. A cluster was first developed and through repetition, we tried achieving the concept.Revolving around the idea of spaces as social 'bulbs', the streets widen, narrow and twist and turn.  This is one of those projects where the process of designing was far more fulfilling than the final iteration. We explored with volumetric models, paper cut outs and smaller clusters.
