"Aashiyana" is a project situated in Maan Darwaza, Surat, focusing on providing affordable housing for economically weaker sections (EWS) and migrants while fostering a strong sense of community through innovative design. The project aims to create flexible living spaces with a hierarchy of open spaces, connecting existing nodes with new ones to improve accessibility and connectivity within the community. By developing micro and macro neighborhood spaces that encourage social interactions and increase negotiation chances among neighbors, "Aashiyana" seeks to enhance the overall quality of life, social cohesion, and community bonding among its residents.
