This portfolio gives a glimpse of the work done in Housing Strategy Studio S2020, the second semester of Master of Urban Housing, This portfolio attempts to give a glimpse of the work done in Housing Strategy Studio, the second semester of Master of Urban Housing, Faculty of Planning. Having thoroughly analyzed primary and secondary data regarding Surat city, I worked on the sub-strategy P7 – Provisionary support for access to formal rental units. The first approach consists of the creation of public rental housing stock via consumption of dwelling units generated by sub-strategy P1 by Ajay Shetye of Group 2. The second approach is mixed-income rental vouchers on the lines of section 8 rental voucher program, USA, both approaches being mutually exclusive.
