The Project uses the placemaking theories of Jan Ghel and Cristian Norberg Schulz to construct the character of the place. The everyday life events, social and cultural patterns are decoded and manifested at neighbourhood level existing urban space in the Naranpura Block. The aim here is to understand how people perceive the city and how the prejudice shapes the built environment, prejudice in terms of how they make a place meaningful for the people, a comfortable place to live in. The proposal attempts to respond the accessibility of the community to the central space and with appropriate built form having vertical interaction for social activity. The project aims to achieve liveable place that enrich the sense of belonging and strengthen the cultural identity of the place.
