The design looks at the issue of food insecurity and imagines a spatial system of spaces that cater to the food insecurity of the pavement dwellers on the site. The design proposes a community kitchen with storage and washing spaces, a cafe space that would serve particular food items such as daal batti, and other regional food items considering the cultural diversity of the pavement dwellers, a community eating space where the children, men, women belonging to the pavement dwellers community could come and eat, and two public fridges.
