 The village Ambli is located in the Bopal area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Many different communities resides in the village like Patel, Prajapati, Thakur and Harijans. The whole village is divided into many vaas according to the community residing in that vaas. Many old built houses are still present in the gaam but most of them has been reconstructed or broken down. Many temples are present in the village. The village has a lake nearby which was used for water usage purpose by village people. The village is diversity unique in culture and religion. As people start becoming rich they live the gam and sold or rent their houses. The main purpose of the studio is how to retain this living heritage of this gam.
