Urban Freight Management for the city of Surat was selected as the studio exercise for Semester 3 under Transportation specialisation. Externalities created by the Urban Freight like Congestion, Pollution and Accidents were analysed and further then projects were identified for the Detailed Feasibility Study. The projects identified included Operations Center, Consolidation and Distribution Center( Con-Di Center), Road Network Improvement and ITS system. Each project was dealt in detail from situation analysis, projections, proposals and finally Financial and Economic viability were analysed.
