The project aims at an understanding of the preparation of a detailed feasibility report for urban transport proposals. Based on the data collection with respect to transport demand, transport supply characteristics apart from the budgetary allocations for the case study city. Based on the demand and supply analysis, we develop detailed project proposals and undertake the financial and economic analysis. The studio outcome is a Detailed Project/Feasibility Report document for an urban transport project.  A DFR was prepared for public transport alternatives analysis and detailed design and estimation of chosen alternative. Public transport in Surat is poised for huge growth with the addition of BRTS, city bus services and the planned metro. The city railway station is planned as the transport hub for the city. There are several alternatives for public transport modes along the ring road in Surat, which connects the railway station to several other existing and proposed public transport modes and key origins and destinations.
