The portfolio represents the project covered in the third semester in the Masters of Urban Transport System. This studio involves extensive study, research, and comprehension of the principles and factors integral to the design of any MRT system. The studio consisted of two parts: a literature study and an MRT proposal for Ahmedabad city. The literature study consisted of a policy review, a DPR chapter review, and international and national case studies. The second part was to study the existing situation of Ahmedabad city and the PT network. Growth nodes, DP proposals and future population distribution and employment distribution. Based on this the proposal for the future MRT network was done for Ahmedabad City.
