The portfolio summarises a detailed study of Vastrapur precinct located in the Ahmedabad. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the various elements which makeup the city. A small part of the city of 1square kilometer is taken as the area of study and every aspect of that area starting from how the area came into existence, its physical characteristics, its infrastructure, its people up to consideration of a future proposal is taken into account for observation, analysis and ultimately to draw ones own conclusions is the outline of the overall study. The approach to the study is made by considering the area of Vastrapur as a single living organism (A Human) and breaking down each aspect of the area as vital systems that enable that organism to function. The appearance and current state represented in as Introduction, the sensory and muscle systems represented in as Land characteristics and Built form, circulatory systems represented in as streets, the respiratory system represented in as the public realm, the digestive system as Infrastructure and the tissue systems and cells as people in various income groups and jobs.
