Vasna- An Affluent Residential Neighborhood

In Ahmedabad 1 sq.km area was taken by each student to study quantitatively and qualitatively about built fabric and factors which mold them, along with other parameters. The Primary data was collected by students of CEPT University and it was used for a comparative study. The precinct allotted for each student was different parts of Ahmedabad. These precincts are selected because analyzing their data would probably give an idea about overall Ahmedabad, as part of the “Understanding the city” foundation studio,2019 at CEPT University . All parameters are calculated from these data and its study. Area under Vasna and Paldi are documented in this publication, which lies towards south western part of Ahmedabad, city and lies along the fringe of the Sabarmati river front, with a residential neighborhood. This area lies in between the old and new Ahmedabad and hence develop in terms of residential redevelopment and transportation. The publication analysis and study this precinct on bases of desirability with refers to various support systems and factors for a ideal city. The desirability of the precinct is been proven along with its affordability throughout its development phase.
