Elements of Design Studio: Semester 2

The studio is designed as an introduction to urban design representation, emphasizing its role in facilitating design thinking. It operates on the premise that the best understanding and expression of urban design arise from studying and representing the built urban environment. Therefore, the studio will concentrate on studying, representing, and designing key urban elements in cities. It will be organized into multiple modules throughout the semester, each culminating in an exhibition of the outcomes. These modules will primarily concentrate on effectively capturing and communicating the spatial qualities of the urban built environment and designing public spaces.
