Adalaj Township

The studio specializes in creating Master Plans for large greenfield developments in peri-urban areas. These developments are facilitated by governments to respond to the demand for expansion in rapidly growing urban centers. The studio follows the existing development framework of the Integrated Township Policy which is typically driven by developers and involves designing a large tract of land under single ownership.

Vision

Site context

Public space with residential context, where different types of activities can be accessed by all residents and members of the community, fosters a vibrant and inclusive environment that promotes social interaction, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

The site is located between the Vaishno Devi Circle and Sargasan Circle; which connects the Twin City, Ahmedabad, and Gandhinagar. As the nearby areas of the site are witnessing growth in commercial, Residential, and hospitality development makes the Adalaj site more valuable. So my vision for this project is to design a township that is connected to urban development and maintains its connection to nature and a variety of public open spaces. As I believe that access to a safe and secure environment is essential for individuals, my design objective is to build a lively, healthy, attractive, Sustainable, and safe lifestyle. The site gets connectivity to S.G. Highway and Adalaj-Bhat Road which makes it more prominent for future development. Focusing on public open space; the township design includes community-level, cluster-level, and private open space.
