Elements of Urban Design | Semester 02

The urban design studio commenced by analyzing a local project in our own city, followed by the study of Khaosan Road in Bangkok, famous and celebrated among backpackers. We then examined urban blocks, with the allotted block being the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Precinct, notable for its striking contrast between the newly constructed temple precinct and its surroundings. Culminating the study, we focused on designing public spaces in Ahmedabad. The Chandola Lakefront and Law Garden Street were chosen as sites, both essential public spaces in Ahmedabad.
