This pilot project identifies that the primary occupation of Rajkot is agriculture and leverages to sustain the local economy by concentrating on the value chain. After understanding the lacunae in the existing infrastructure facilities, the loopholes have been targeted at being rectified by proposing a Mega Food Park, in compliance with the MFPS by Government of India. Through a T.P.Scheme mechanism, the project has been envisoned on ground and thereby economically, socially and environmentally assessed. This project serves as one of the aspects to be realised to enable the RURBAN Connect, as envisioned for the city of Rajkot.
