The project attempts to create a notion of inclusivity, accessibility, and a sense of belonging within a part of Mumbai city, where, with an increase in urbanization and land prices, the living conditions have become harsh on the people who can't afford it. With land bought by private developers, the neighborhoods in Mumbai have started to become more and more privatized and inaccessible due to walled boundaries across the neighborhood. The idea is to change this notion of the privatized neighborhood to an inclusive neighborhood on the site of Kamala Mills, in Lower Parel, Mumbai.
