Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Maps to Optimize Construction Management Practices
The construction industry is undergoing a technological transformation, with digital tools and platforms enhancing various aspects of project management, execution, and planning. One of the most promising technologies is Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which can provide valuable spatial data and context. While some integration between Building Information Modeling (BIM) and construction management software exists, the potential for incorporating GIS and mapping technology remains largely untapped. This directed study aims to explore this untapped potential, focusing on how GIS and maps can optimize various facets of construction management.
