Clay pot evaporative cooling systems for building application & food storage - Development of experimental prototypes

Evaporative cooling has a potential to significantly reduce energy consumption for cooling and food refrigeration in hot dry climates like that of Ahmedabad. Earth sheltering and clay pots have traditionally been used to keep things cool. These are very inexpensive objects that are found in every part of the country and easily available to everyone. An experimental system can be created to assess the effectiveness of these traditional systems.
