India sees a massive rural-to-urban migration, driven by population growth. Urban areas face land scarcity, driving up costs and rents, and pushing economically weaker sections into slums lacking basic amenities. The Government initiated the Pradhan Mantri Gram Awas Yojna in 2015 to provide housing by 2022, though the pandemic affected progress. Affordable housing projects, funded by both central and state governments, aim to address this issue. However, limited funds often slow progress, requiring stringent budget management. Study aims to analyze project design, materials, construction methods, and planning to reduce costs per unit or square meter for affordable housing. DRP file
