The study focuses on developing a model or toolset which will be instrumental in the comprehensive and effective upgradation of the existing Electricity Distribution System (EDS), which is facing numerous challenges, such as Increasing demand for electricity, Aging infrastructure, Integration of distributed energy resources (DERs), etc. and are making it difficult to maintain the reliability and efficiency of the EDS. Such a model or toolset would be able to Identify potential bottlenecks and vulnerabilities in the existing EDS by Simulating and analyzing the behavior of the existing EDS under a variety of conditions and Evaluating the impact of different upgrade options.
