The duty of developing the water and sewage systems for the town of Junagadh was assigned to us in this studio. To identify the gaps in the city's anticipated and present service delivery, we developed a method. We initially looked at the design tenets of the various system components in order to create these components and integrate our expertise for a system's overall design. • For systematic learning, two design approaches were used: first, constructing the system using straightforward Excel sheets, and second, utilising software to construct a more complicated system. The water supply and sewage network were established, the demand was determined, and a gap analysis of service delivery was completed at the end of the studio. • Students were exposed to the decision-making dilemma in the design of these systems in the studio by creating multiple iterations in the simulation software and comparing the performance of the system against design requirements and cost. Through this instruction, we gained the engineering knowledge required to deal with actual problems in metropolitan waterways.
